Northern California Event Services was formed from the direct prospective & experience of not only starting, but operating local businesses within the wedding & event industry here in Northern California.

From the founder Paul David:

Northern California Event Services all started with my DJ business Stay Gold Productions.  Upon finishing my Masters Degree in Business Management I had the strong desire to start my own businesses & try to achieve one of my dreams in entrepreneurship. So Stay Gold Productions was formed and I began offering my DJ Services here locally in Redding.  After two years of DJ’ing on the weekends while working a full time management job during the week I decided that I was going to take the next step & begin DJ’ing full time.  I set one condition for myself & that was that I was going to try & develop a second business while at home during the weekdays & the brainstorming began.  I started to reflect on my experiences of starting & operating my own businesses within the local wedding & event industry & quickly discovered the inspiration for what I was going to do next.  While starting & operating my DJ business, I had searched high & low for local forms of marketing that would help me get jobs.  There are national companies who market to brides well, but all too often their services completely overlook smaller towns like Redding, Chico & surrounding areas.  I also found that the local options were slim & for the most part the only local options that I did find attractive were far too expensive for me & my small businesses.  Lastly it was apparent to me that social media & digital marketing platforms are really were the market is at right now & I really wanted something that was going to be easy to navigate via smartphone or tablet & this simply wasn't available locally.  So I knew what I was going to do & I knew what I wanted it to look like, I just needed to figure out how to do it!  I spent the next 6 months teaching myself how to build a website & use photoshop & came up with the rough designs of what I called Northern California Event Services. With lots & lots of picture text messages to my cousin Heather Armstrong asking for advice on how things looked (she was gracious enough to let me use her photos to help build the site), Northern California Event Services was ready to launch & our lunch party took place on April 30th 2014. Since our launch things have surpassed all my expectations. We have thousands of page views on our website per month & have successful social media marketing & engagement as well in the thousands! Things have gone so well, that we are now looking forward to the summer of 2015 as we launch the next step in our long terms goals in offering Redding's premiere wedding planning & bridal experience in the Redding Bridal Expo set to take place on August 2, 2015 at the Redding Civic Auditorium.
